Hey there 👋 I’m Ben, a Certified Professional Life Coach and the Founder of Purpose Over Pixels. I’m passionate about helping others live with more intention and purpose.

The inspiration to start Purpose Over Pixels came out of my own personal struggle. A few years ago, my iPhone screen time was almost 5 hours/day. I didn’t feel like my best self and I thought about the relationships, hobbies, & goals I was missing out on because of my phone. Like you, I wanted to gain those parts of my life back. So, I went on a journey to improve. After 2 years of research, trial & error, and lots of hard work, I finally figured out how to reach a level of usage I was happy with, dropping ~70% to just 1.5 hours/day. That journey changed more than my habits. It changed who I felt I was becoming – more present, more aligned, more purposeful. Now, my focus is helping others like you do the same.

We all know high screen time negatively affects us – decreasing attention, low productivity, inability to be present, poor sleep… the list goes on. Big Tech is robbing us. It’s also evident high screen time fuels many crises in our world today: mental health, loneliness, lack of purpose or meaning, etc. The data clearly shows that (A) the majority of people struggle with high screen time and (B) most of us want to change, but either can’t or don’t know how. The reality: if cutting back was easy, we’d all have done it by now.
